A weekend for people and families living with Kabuki Syndrome.

Our motto is simple: bringing people together is the best medicine.

Two Kabuki Kids at the Kabuki GatheringEvery October since 2012, families living with Kabuki Syndrome have come together to gather support, share stories, network, and learn about medical advancements that can aid in the treatment of our children. Kabuki Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder. Children/adults affected by Kabuki experience a variety of symptoms which may include: mild to moderate intellectual impairment, growth retardation, low muscle tone, feeding difficulties, heart defects, cleft palate, skeletal abnormalities, communication delays and distinctive behaviors. Kabuki Syndrome affects each individual differently.

We get together every year in Brenham, TX at Camp Blessing – a retreat for families with special needs. This once in a lifetime opportunity will allow our children to participate in activities led by trained staff with the use of adaptive equipment, surrounded by their Kabuki brothers and sisters. The goal of The Kabuki Gathering is simple: let’s get our families together, consistently, and nothing but good will come from it. We look forward to the opportunity to spend time with your family, whether this is your first year or you are visiting us again!
